Asustek Computer reportedly ready to introduce a new tablet at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona February 25 to 28. According to undisclosed sources, Asus will launch the one with the name Fonepad. The tablet uses Android 4.1, has a 7 inch screen, supports phone, and uses an Intel Atom Z2420.
Further said, Asus Fonepad was made to maintain the tablet market segment Nexus 7 - the results of its collaboration with Google. Fonepad Asus screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 IPS manifold, 16GB of storage, 1GB RAM, 3MP rear camera and supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
For the price, it was reported that the 7-inch Asus Fonepad will be priced between NT $ 8000-9000 (about USD 2.6 to 2.9 million). According to the source, Asus did want to keep the 7-inch tablet market from its competitors. By the end of 2013, Asus expects to sell more than 12 million units of the Android tablet and Windows 7-inch.
